Hotel Review: Extended Stay America Indianapolis, Indiana

Extended Stay America
Indianapolis, Indiana
West 86th Street
June 21 2019
1 Queen Bed, 1 Sofa Pullout Bed- Non-Smoking, Free Grab and Go Breakfast, Free Wifi
Booked through Priceline

Pros: Clean room, King bed was comfortable, full fridge and small kitchen,  separate room for King bed, breakfast was decent (oatmeal packets, hot water, chocolate packets, muffins, granola bars).

Cons: expensive, check in a bit difficult.  We'd booked through Priceline and requested 2 double beds. When we arrived, receptionist told us Priceline overbooked and those weren't available. She "upgraded" us to a King and sofa bed (we really need 2 regular beds because my Mom is with me and sleeps in 1 bed with my daughter, and I sleep in the other bed with my other daughter.) The King bed was nice but the sofa bed was very small and extremely uncomfortable.

Overall: I'd recommend this hotel to friends needing an extended place to stay. Since we didn't need a kitchen or a King bed in its own room, I'd probably only stay here if I couldn't find somewhere else that was reasonably priced, (and only if they had the 2 beds we'd requested.)

Hotel Review: Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Coralville, Iowa

Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham
Coralville, Iowa
704 1st Avenue
June 20, 2019
2 Queen Beds - Non-Smoking, Free Breakfast, Free Wifi
Booked through Priceline

Overall: One of the WORST hotels I've ever stayed in. I would not recommend it to anyone I cared about, and would never stay here again.

Pros: None.

Cons: Everything. Check-in was a nightmare (1st room was occupied, 2nd had a sliding glass door with a broken lock, 3rd was disgusting but we slept there because by this time it was 1am and we'd been driving all day).
Hotel is dirty and not well-maintained. Construction going on inside hotel. Construction workers standing near our side entrance at midnight smoking and talking loudly. Hard mattresses, many of the outside entrances don't work.
** 3rd room review: FILTHY bathtub/shower, especially the floor. Dirty shower curtain. Used and dirty towels. Non- functioning smoke detector. Badly stained pillowcases and sheets. Floor not vacuumed. Non- functioning smoke detector. Drawer handle broken. Dirty nightstand. TV and DVD player cords unplugged and scattered around the TV stand.
No comment on the breakfast because we missed it.

Notes:
I spoke with the receptionist (Whitney) in the morning and told her about our experience. She was kind and understanding, but was new there and couldn't override anything. She said she didn't think we should have to pay anything for our stay and would contact the manager and get back to me, which she did. The manager said because it was through a 3rd party, they couldn't refund me, but could offer me a discount on the hotel if I stayed there again.?!!
I then contacted Priceline and they said they'd contact the hotel and email me back.

Edited June 30th: It's been 10 days and I'm still waiting to hear back from Priceline. I'll be using a competitor for our trip back home.

Stay away from this hotel!

Ramada by Wyndham
Kearney, Nebraska
301 2nd Avenue
June 19, 2019
2 Queen Beds - Non-Smoking, Free Breakfast, Free Wifi
Booked through Priceline

Pros: Great price, clean room, comfortable beds, easy check in, amazing breakfast (they gave us vouchers for breakfast. The cook did custom-made omelettes, also had sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns, pastries, oatmeal, cereal, milk, juice, etc.)

Cons: hotel is older and somewhat shabby; could use some refurbishing.

Overall: would recommend to friends and would definitely stay here again! The breakfast was wonderful.
The pool looked like a lot of fun, but we were just passing through and didn't have time to try it out. :)

Review - Huggies Little Movers

We're so grateful we were chosen to try out Huggies Little Movers diapers for our precious kiddo! The diapers fit really well and helped prevent those yucky blowouts. Also, they're very appropriately named; they moved well with our son. He was happy as a clam, crawling around in his new duds!
Shoutout to Chatterbox by House Party and to Huggies. Loved the diapers and would definitely recommend them to friends and family. :)

Review - VTech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker

Works great as a walker, fun activities to do, good price.

Bought this for our daughter's 1st birthday and she loves it! The wheels have different settings so that you can tighten or loosen them depending on your child's walking abilities. Activities are fun (and we love that you can turn them off or on, and the volume low or high!) Takes up very little space, unlike other walkers we've had in the past. Easy to spot clean when it's dirty.

The "activity center" part comes off so our baby can sit down to play. Back legs/wheels come off fairly easily for storage. Wish the little phone had a cord attaching it to the activity center; it tends to get lost easily.

Has been a great toy for our baby. Would definitely buy again!
